Handbook on EIA in Sabah (Third Edition)

This is the third edition of the Handbook on Environmental Impact Assessment in Sabah, revised from the second edition which was published in 2005. While the legislative basis of this edition remains the same as the second edition, namely the Environment Protection Enactment 2002 and the Prescribed Activities Order 2005, the objective of this update is to further improve the implementation of the environmental assessment system in Sabah.

Appendix A – Data Dictionary 

This data dictionary is a document to guide environmental consultants for submission of spatial data to Environment Protection Department (EPD). This dictionary has been prepared primarily for the application of projects that are classified as Prescribed Activity under the Environmental Protection Enactment (Prescribed Activities) (Environmental Impact Assessment) Order 2005 that requires submission of Proposal for Mitigation Measures (PMM) report or Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) report.

These guidelines provides an overview of the important environmental issues, impacts, mitigation measures and monitoring programmes that need to be considered when undertaking logging and forest plantation activities.

These guidelines provides an overview of the most important environmental issues, impacts, mitigation measures and monitoring programmes that need to be considered in connection with river sand and stone mining development projects.  

EIA Guidelines for Oil Palm Plantation.  

These guidelines provides an overview of the most important environmental issues, impacts, mitigation measures and monitoring programmes that need to be considered in connection with the planning, development and operation of oil palm plantations. 

EIA Guidelines for Construction on Hill Slopes.

These guidelines provides an overview of the important environmental issues, impacts, mitigation measures and monitoring programmes that need to be considered when undertaking hill slopes activities. 

EIA Guidelines for Stone Quarry Activities.

These guidelines provides an overview of the important environmental issues, impacts, mitigation measures and monitoring programmes that need to be considered when undertaking quarries activities. 

EIA Guidelines for Land Reclamation Activities.

These guidelines provides an overview of the most important environmental issues, impacts, mitigation measures and monitoring programmes that need to be considered in connection with land reclamation activities.

EIA Guidelines for Shoreline Development Activities.

These guidelines provides an overview of the most important environmental issues, impacts, mitigation measures and monitoring programmes that need to be considered in connection with the shoreline development activities. 

EIA Guidelines for Earthwork Activities.

These guidelines give an overview of the most important environmental issues, impacts, mitigation measures and monitoring programmes that need to be considered in connection with earthwork activities. 

Guideline on Waste Management (Effluent and Solid Wastes) for Palm Oil Mills in Sabah.

This guideline is published to provide guidance on ways to minimise impacts resulting from the operations of Palm Oil Mills (POMs) in Sabah, for the management of waste (effluent and solid) from the POMs.

This guideline also highlights the key environmental issues from operations of the POMs, recommended Siting and Buffer Zones and recommends the Best Management Practices (BMPs) and Best Available Techniques (BATs) which can be adopted by operators to minimise environmental impacts from their farms.

Pelan Tindakan Pembersihan Pantai Akibat Tumpahan Minyak Negeri Sabah.

PTPP Sabah kemaskini tahun 2021 adalah merupakan satu panduan yang boleh dirujuk oleh agensi atau jabatan di Negeri Sabah apabila berlaku tumpahan minyak dan boleh diaktifkan pada bila-bila masa dalam melaksanakan kerja-kerja pembersihan pantai akibat pencemaran minyak.
