Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for Compliance with Environmental Conditions of Housing and Commercial Development in Sabah

This Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) is prepared to provide clear guidance to Project Proponents (PPs) for implementing environmental conditions commonly imposed for housing and commercial development by the EPD in the AEC/MD. In addition, the SOP will indirectly guide PPs to comply with the AEC/MD while minimising impacts to the environment. The SOP shall be used together with the EIA/PMM since some of the requirements in the SOP are already contained in the report.

This Environmental Self-Regulation (ESR) guideline is to be used together with the SOPs for Housing and Commercial Development formulated by the EPD. The SOPs provide clear guidance to PPs for MD/AEC compliance.

Environmental Self-Regulation (ESR) Guideline in Compliance with Environmental Conditions for Oil Palm Plantations in Sabah 

The Environmental Self-Regulations (ESR) guideline for OPPs shall be used together with the SOPs for oil palms plantations developed by EPD. The SOPs provide clear guidance to the PPs in implementing environmental conditions commonly imposed for OPP development and operation by EPD.

This Environmental Self-Regulation (ESR) guideline is to be used together with the SOPs for River Sand and Stone Mining Activities formulated by the EPD. The SOPs provide clear guidance to PPs for AEC compliance. Best mitigation measures for minimising environmental impacts and implementation methods of mitigation measures for compliance to the environmental conditions are described in the SOPs for the PPs’ guidance.
