EPD Sabah has been in existence since 1998 enforcing the then Conservation of Environment Enactment 1996 and now the Environment Protection Enactment 2002. Over the years, we have journeyed a long way in environmental management. The Department has continuously progressed to strengthen governance so that the environment in Sabah is managed sustainably and in accordance with the law, while effectively addressing emerging environmental issues and challenges.
