A less severe effect of construction dust may cause one\u2019s vision to be limited. Nonetheless, proper precautions should be taken to minimise the formation of airborne dust.<\/strong><\/p>\n<div id=\"row-1959999454\" class=\"row\" style=\"text-align: left;\">\n<div id=\"col-1076740710\" class=\"col medium-4 small-12 large-4\">\n<div class=\"col-inner\">\n<p><strong>Target<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div id=\"col-682093319\" class=\"col medium-8 small-12 large-8\">\n<div class=\"col-inner\">\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Hinder open burning on-site.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Minimise generation or release of airborne dust to protect workers and the surrounding community.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div id=\"row-1505406212\" class=\"row\">\n<div id=\"col-1982569045\" class=\"col small-12 large-12\">\n<div class=\"col-inner\">\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong>Standard Operating Procedures<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong>8.1 Brief workers on the concept of \u201copen burning\u201d and prohibit open burning activities on-site.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong>8.2 Maintain original vegetation cover at non-working areas instead of clearing the entire site to minimise exposed soil surfaces.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong>8.3 Restrict public access to the site, to limit movement of vehicles within the site thus reducing generation of airborne dust.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong>8.4 Restrict the speed of moving vehicles to the speed limit specified in the approved EIA\/MD.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong>8.5 Erect speed limit signages at easily visible locations within the site to remind workers to adhere to speed limits.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong>8.6 Provide water storage and water spraying facilities such as water browser trucks (Refer to Plate 23), handheld hoses, or sprinklers at site.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong>8.7 Conduct water spraying activities on dry and exposed soil.
