Majlis dirasmikan oleh Datuk Josie Lai, Setiausaha Tetap, Kementerian Pelancongan, Kebudayaan dan Alam Sekitar (KePKAS), di Hyatt Centric, Kota Kinabalu. Turut hadir adalah wakil daripada Kementerian Sumber Asli dan Kelestarian Alam (NRES), Jabatan Peguam Besar Negeri Sabah, JPAS, Jabatan Alam Sekitar Malaysia (JAS) dan Penasihat Undang-Undang NRES dan JAS.<\/p>\n<p>Perbincangan merangkumi semakan tahap persediaan Kerajaan Negeri Sabah melalui JPAS dalam peralihan kuasa dalam pengurusan buangan terjadual daripada JAS (Kerajaan Persekutuan) kepada JPAS (Kerajaan Negeri Sabah). Beberapa perkara penting dibincangkan seperti perundangan, pemakaian sistem dan kompetensi.<\/p>\n<p>Sesi SLU diakhiri dengan penghasilan satu Record of Discussion (ROD) yang telah ditandatangani bersama oleh pihak KePKAS yang diwakili oleh YBhg.
